(work in progress)

gizz are like any other band, in the sense that you can start listening to them any way you want. however, because of the nature of their discography, you have a unique chance to gamify it in a way!

there's a few different "methods" you can use depending on what kind of adventure you want to take

if you want to be normal about it:

treat their discography like any other band's. listen to their top songs. maybe take note of what albums the songs you dug the most came from and check those out. or you could go through their albums and choose an album by the cover or title

or!!! i highly recommend checking out their KEXP sessions. there's 7 of them now i believe? each one is a handful of songs from one album (or sometimes two) performed live for radio. they're very good :) the one from 2022 is what finally got me into the band!

if you wanna have a little more fun with it...

a lot of gizz fans recommend starting with i'm in your mind fuzz. this is a good entry point! it's a classic gizz album with plenty of live staples.

this website is a godsend. if you go the default route, it'll start you with mind fuzz and direct you on what to listen to next based on the sound you want to hear more of. it'll give you little blurbs of backstory for each one as well!

you can also choose a random album, or scroll through all of them and choose whichever one you like as your entry point (and then explore from there).

otherwise, you can try a flowchart. they get outdated pretty quickly and vary pretty wildly based on personal opinion. but they're fun!

if you wanna take my word for it:

beginner friendly albums (maybe. imo) the classics the chiller albums
