and here's the full session if you wanna see more!
oh my god where do i start with collider... this was one of those songs that came out at the perfect time. or that stuck with me at the perfect time i guess. managed to hear it live (from the front row. on the best night of my life.) right when i too, started to think i might not be so well. also within a few weeks of being out it became my #1 favorite pigs song. it's just really good. also there's a really fun bell hit on the cymbals right before it goes into the breakdown and i really enjoy that lol
good LORD new body is so fucking good. i used to work a really shit barista job and listen to pigs on repeat to make it a little less awful. this song especially stuck with me, both because it's so brutal ("...one of the heaviest songs we've released") and it's a really good song to listen to when working under a boss from hell. "i'll kick him where he really needs it, and maybe he'll see how suffering can really make a difference" is one of the best lines ever.
so far all of these are songs that have helped me cope in one way or another. we're not stopping that trend anytime soon LMAO this song is suchhh a good tune when you're trying to get out of your awful hometown. the riff will also bore its way into your brain. blistering solo too
what a way to open an album. pummelling yet groovy as shit. also good boss from hell music (the whole album might fit that description honestly)
uhmm ummm ummmmm no comment. they haven't played this since 2018... BRING IT BACK!!
this is sitting with new body as one of their heaviest songs. the first half is an eerie few verses sung by the band, interspersed with crunchy guitar jumpscares that briefly halt the flow of the song. at the halfway point, the main vocals come in. they're haunting and unsettling and i love em. "there's a storm coming" is paired with guitar wails that sound like human screams. after a while this dies down into a simmering outro similar to the intro, but it ends with a final jumpscare just to rattle you a little
